Materials
Vegetable-tanned cowhide shoulder at 3.5mm, waxed linen thread, solid brass buckles and D-rings, edges hand-burnished with gum and beeswax. No edge paint: paint cracks and flakes, burnish wears.
Care
Nothing for the first year. After that a neutral balm twice a year, worked in with a cloth and buffed. It will darken most where your hand and hip go, which is the point. Do not use saddle soap unless it is genuinely filthy.
